Prince’s Trust Team Challenge

This 12-week personal development programme is a challenging and potentially life changing experience. You will learn a lot about yourself and how to work with others while developing the skills, confidence and motivation that employers are looking for.
Who is the course for?
The course is for any 16-25 year old who is not currently in education, training or employment. It is ideal for helping to improve personal skills such as confidence, motivation, direction, communication and working with others.
What will I do on the course?
The programme outline is as follows:

  • 2 weeks of Team Building (including a week of outdoor activity education).
  • A community project, which includes planning and organisation based at the College and then fundraising and practical work in the local area.
  • Focus on skills for employment, which includes a week on an individual work placement and work on interviews and CVs.
  • The Final Team Challenge, which involves fundraising and working with a community-based group.
  • Organise a final presentation for the award of their certificates.

In order to join the programme you will need to book an interview with a Team Leader where they will:

  • Decide if you would be able to cope with requirements of this course.
  • Assess if your current situation is stable enough to enable you to complete the programme.

What could I do next?
Students are supported to move into employment or further education. There are close links with other courses at the City of Bristol College and with many employers in the area.
