ASDAN   Community Volunteering Qualifications

Hedley Hall Training has recently received funding to deliver the ASDAN qualification for volunteers at Level 1 in Bath.

WHO IS IT FOR?
Any volunteer 19 years old and above if they are unemployed. (Free of charge to both volunteers and the organisations where they work.

WHAT IS IT AND HOW WILL IT BE DELIVERED?
The CVQ is designed to assist volunteers in gaining a recognised qualification by a process of assessing and recording the skills they are applying and developing whilst volunteering. The qualification is a way of rewarding volunteers with a qualification which could also enable them to progress to further training and/or employment.
A tutor/assessor will visit your project at agreed times to help the volunteers build a small portfolio of evidence. If preferred the volunteers can come to Hedley Hall in Twerton, Bath. There are no exams and very little writing. If volunteers have any difficulty with writing, the tutor or their supervisor can scribe for them. Volunteers can work at their own pace and choose from a selection of units which suit them and the work they are doing.
Please see   www.asdan.org.uk/Qualifications/CVQ for more information.
